Winner 12.20 "Twaalf Twintig" takes first place in the annual Round of
Noord Holland.
The Round of Noord Holland exists of 3 legs, the 1st form Muiden to
Enkhuizen, the 2nd from Enkhuizen to Kornwerderzand and the 3rd leg
starts in Kornwerderzand, passing Den Helder and finish in IJmuiden.
Due to the heavy weather and stormy forecasts the organizing committee
cancelled the last leg in the middle of the leg, asking all competitors to return
to the nearest harbor. Especially for the smaller boats and or less
experienced crew this seemed to be a correct decision.
Twaalf Twintig however was in the forefront of the field and already passed
Den Helder at that moment, so continued to their original destination
IJmuiden, finishing at around 03.30 AM.
To make up results, the organizing committee only scored the first two legs.
